Course News - Wildlife Conservation Course Updated

Our new course in Wildlife Conservation will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to understand complex issues associated with conserving endangered species and ecosystems. This course covers the many aspects of Wildlife Conservation including:
- Why wildlife conservation is important
- Threatening processes such as habitat fragmentation and degradation, pollution, climate change, invasive species and genetic isolation
- The process of recovering threatened species
- Habitat Conservation - Understanding how species use habitat and how this directs habitat conservation planning
- Surveying for endangered species - flora surveys and fauna surveys
- Conservation of marine species and ecosystems
- Planning for wildlife on farms and in urban areas
- The importance of GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) to the conservation of threatened species
- Managing threatened wildlife populations

Congratulations to ACS Tutor

We would like to pass on our congratulations to UK based tutor Anna Sylvester who was recently married.
Anna graduated with a degree in Human Biology from Loughborough University and then went on to complete an MSc in Equine Science at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and this is where her speciality lies. She has since spent time in managerial, research and lecturing positions within the equine field.
