Despite huge growth in environmental industries world wide, many graduates in environmental sciences still find a career eludes them. Often this is because their studies have not covered the subjects and skills which are in fact providing employment opportunities. This course differs from other environmental courses providing a unique opportunity to develop those "in demand" skills.

This course is internationally accredited through International Accreditation and Recognition Council.

Environmental Sustainability has gone beyond being a concern, to becoming a substantial and growing international industry, supplying products and services that contribute toward the overall sustainability of both human life and the global environment which we are so dependant upon.

Sustainability experts are likely to be in high demand over coming decades as available resources become increasingly scarce and the effects of environmental degradation reach critical mass in some parts of the world.
This course is unique!

WORKING OR WANTING TO WORK IN THE REHABILITATION OF DEGRADED SITES?

The importance of trees to land management cannot be overstated. Often in the past they have been seen as competing for valuable land space and felled indiscriminately. Over clearing of trees can lead to salinity problems and numerous forms of erosion and land slips. As we have become more familiar with their vital role in ecological processes, retention and selective planting of trees has been widely acknowledged, in improving farm viability and ultimately production.

This course develops an understanding of environmental systems and the rehabilitation of degraded landscapes. You learn about seed collection, storage and germination, propagation, plant selection, establishment techniques, controlling pest and disease after planting.
