GETTING STARTED ON THE I.T. CAREER PATH
The best way to build a career that fits with the best version of you, is:
- Determine your passion. Is it just I.T., or some aspect of I.T. such as programming, computer graphics, gaming, hardware, management or something else?
- Learn more – acquire knowledge and skills that are valuable for work in jobs related to your passion. Part of that can be taking a course, but it needs to be a good course, and the right course for you.
- Get experience – if you can’t get a job at first, start volunteering. Paid work comes more easily to people with relevant experience, even unpaid experience.
- Network – make friends and build relationships with people who have shared interests.
