What is Agronomy?

Agronomy is the science of producing and using plants for land reclamation, food and fuel. It is the science of managing soil and producing field crops.  It combines sciences such as ecology, plant physiology and genetics and soil science to produce healthier foods. Agronomists can specialise in particular areas such as irrigation, crop rotation, plant breeding, soil fertility, weed control and so on.
