The Chicken or the Egg?
There is an old riddle, what came first? The Chicken or the Egg?
Well, actually, the answer is very simple. The egg came first as dinosaurs also laid eggs, well before chickens evolved.
Now we have to consider, which came first the dinosaur or the egg?
We could go on forever, but the point is sometimes we are not able to really see what the problem is. We might think the problem is chicken or egg, when in fact the question really is dinosaur or egg.
Life can be like this sometimes. We can feel there is no answer to our problems. No solution to how we feel. We can feel stuck in a rut, but think there is no way out.
We may find it hard to see the wood for the trees.
Sometimes the answer is simple.
If you are unhappy with your life, then why not change it?
That sounds so simple and it should be. You may be unhappy with your job, but are worried about leaving work to retrain or fear the unknown. Why not take that first step and take a distance learning course? Retrain without having to give up work.
Find out if you really are interested in psychology or horticulture or life coaching or photography without taking a big risk of giving up your existing job.
- Start a new hobby. You may feel stale and uninteresting. You may have always dreamed of being a writer, a photographer, a gardener, a poet. Why not give a course a go and start to achieve these dreams?
- If you would like to help other people, why not think about life coaching or counselling or horticultural therapy?
- Change the way you live. Why not look at self-sufficiency or keeping your own poultry or goats? Grow your own veggies or fruit?
There is a big world out there with so many different opportunities for new careers and hobbies, why not get started today?
